A law firm seeks a highly experienced Health Care Attorney in Nashville, Tennessee, to advise clients on complex healthcare regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters. The ideal candidate will have 20 years of legal experience, focusing on the healthcare industry, including federal and state regulations, corporate governance, fraud and abuse laws, and healthcare contracting. This senior role is designed for a legal professional with deep industry knowledge and the ability to provide strategic guidance to healthcare providers and organizations.

Duties

• Provide legal counsel on federal and state healthcare regulations, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and CMS guidelines.
• Advise clients on healthcare compliance programs and risk management strategies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of healthcare-related contracts, including provider agreements, business associate agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Counsel clients through mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other complex transactions in the healthcare sector.
• Represent clients in investigations, audits, and enforcement actions by regulatory bodies.
• Develop internal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with health systems, hospitals, physician groups, and other healthcare entities on legal matters affecting operations and governance.

Requirements

• 20 years of legal experience with a primary focus on healthcare law.
• Extensive experience advising healthcare providers and organizations.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks and policy developments.
• Proven track record in compliance and transactional healthcare work.
• Licensed to practice law in Tennessee or eligible for admission by reciprocity.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Tennessee State Bar license (or ability to obtain).
