A Washington, D.C.-based law firm is seeking an experienced legal professional for an off-track position focused on handling confidentiality agreements within a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and private equity practice. This opportunity is being offered through a specialized legal recruitment agency. The role offers flexibility, including remote work, and involves direct client engagement, requiring excellent communication skills and sound legal judgment.

Duties:

• Review and negotiate a high volume of non-disclosure agreements in the M&A and private equity space

• Collaborate with deal teams and clients to ensure alignment on terms and risk tolerance

• Communicate directly with clients to gather instructions and provide updates

• Manage documentation efficiently and maintain internal systems for tracking agreement status

• Provide timely and pragmatic advice while upholding client service standards

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions legal work

• Demonstrated ability to negotiate NDAs independently

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment

• Availability to work remotely as needed

• Attention to detail and excellent drafting skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and client service skills

• Proficiency in contract review and risk analysis

• Capable of managing multiple priorities under tight timelines

• Effective written and verbal communication
