Duties

• Independently manage a trusts and estates litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
• Conduct depositions, court appearances, and hearings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and related legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Supervise and mentor associates and paralegals.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the New York State bar.
• 10+ years of sophisticated trusts and estates litigation experience, including Surrogate's Court experience.
• Experience with estate administration and estate tax matters is a plus.
• Trial experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organizational skills.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State bar.
