Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level Tax Associate to join its Global Corporate Group. This position is ideal for an attorney with 4–6 years of law firm or accounting firm experience in tax law, who is ready to take on sophisticated transactional work across a national and international client base. The role offers an opportunity to work alongside corporate, finance, and transactional teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Location:

• Atlanta, GA

Duties:

• Advise corporate clients on the tax aspects of complex business transactions

• Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructurings with tax due diligence and planning

• Draft and review tax-related documentation for corporate and finance transactions

• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to provide integrated legal solutions

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda related to domestic and international tax issues

• Assist clients with tax compliance, controversy, and planning strategies

• Stay current on developments in federal, state, and international tax law

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of relevant tax experience at a law firm or accounting firm

• Strong understanding of tax structuring in corporate transactions

• Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a client-facing environment

• Active membership in good standing with the bar in the state of practice

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required

Certifications:

• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (New York, Texas, or Georgia)

Skills:

• Strong grasp of federal and state tax law concepts

• Ability to analyze complex financial data and legal structures

• Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills

• Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently

• High level of professionalism and responsiveness to client needs
