A San Diego-based law firm with a strong litigation portfolio is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney through a legal recruiting agency. This position involves advocating for clients in sensitive employment-related disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage violations, and more. Duties:
Represent clients in employment-related disputes, including pre-litigation counseling and full-scale litigation
Handle cases involving wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, harassment, wage/hour violations, and retaliation claims
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other legal documents
Engage in settlement negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and courtroom proceedings
Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Coordinate with internal legal teams and outside experts when required
Attend legal education events and participate in firm-sponsored professional development initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in employment litigation
Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently from start to resolution
Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills
Excellent written communication and drafting abilities
Familiarity with wage and hour law, FEHA, Title VII, ADA, and FMLA matters
Proven ability to build rapport with clients facing sensitive employment concerns
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active membership in the California State Bar
