An established national litigation firm is seeking an experienced Construction and Design Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Boston office. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing active litigation caseloads, representing contractors, architects, engineers, owners, and developers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team working on high-profile projects and emerging issues such as AI in construction and innovative project delivery models.

Location

• Boston, MA

Duties

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from case inception through trial

• Interface directly with clients and insurance professionals

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Retain, consult with, and work alongside expert witnesses

• Handle all aspects of written discovery

• Draft and argue motions and oppositions at hearings

• Evaluate liability and damages issues and prepare detailed exposure evaluations

• Negotiate settlements independently and during mediation

• Prepare for and support trial proceedings

• Maintain accurate and timely time records

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and/or design professional litigation

• Proven ability to manage cases independently

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Ability to multi-task and handle complex matters efficiently

• Interest in construction projects and industry trends

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in Massachusetts required

• Admission in additional New England states preferred
