Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior Litigation Associate in Century City, CA. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on Plaintiff's Elder Abuse and Personal Injury cases. The ideal candidate will contribute to the firm's mission of providing exceptional client service and will have the chance to make a meaningful impact.

Duties

• Communicate and manage relationships with clients and document contact in Litify.
• Engage with opposing counsel and participate in discovery and motion drafting.
• Take and defend depositions and fully investigate each case.
• Attend depositions, hearings, conferences, interviews, and trials.
• Research applicable laws and interview witnesses and parties.
• Prepare for and advocate at trial, aiming to try at least 3 cases per year.
• Lead weekly calendar meetings with assigned paralegal.
• Submit quarterly reporting of fees earned to the owner.
• Maintain professional standards towards the firm and its clients.

Requirements

• Active member of the State Bar of California in good standing.
• Trial experience in personal injury field.
• Ability to manage 50+ litigation cases effectively.
• Strong legal research, communication, and writing skills.
• Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work independently and in a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
