Junior/Mid-Level/Senior Antitrust Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Antitrust Associate Attorney to join its team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing transactions for competition issues, possess expertise in merger control filing requirements, and demonstrate proficiency in navigating the intricacies of the Hart-Scott-Rodino (“HSR”) Act and implementing Rules.

Duties:

• Conduct thorough analyses of transactions for potential competition issues, with a focus on HSR Act compliance.
• Provide substantive analysis, identify procedural issues, and manage filing logistics related to HSR compliance.
• Advocate before the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in antitrust matters.
• Handle antitrust aspects of technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions, contributing to successful deal outcomes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in analyzing transactions for competition issues, with a focus on HSR compliance.
• Familiarity with the Hart-Scott-Rodino (“HSR”) Act and implementing Rules, including substantive analysis and procedural nuances.
• Strong background in advocacy before the DOJ and FTC in antitrust matters.
• Experience in technology, life sciences, and private equity transactions is a significant advantage.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Skills:

• Outstanding academic credentials.
• Comparable law firm experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
