Profile

A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Attorney for their Tampa, FL office. The IP Attorney will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, securing and defending trademark rights, and handling other intellectual property matters. Candidates should have experience in patent prosecution, strong knowledge of patent law and intellectual property, expertise in trademarks, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.

Duties:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications
• Secure and defend trademark rights
• Handle other intellectual property matters
• Conduct legal research
• Provide legal advice to clients
• Draft legal documents
• Represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings
• Manage client relationships

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
• Admission to the Florida Bar and/or Board Certification in Intellectual Property
• Admission to the Patent Bar

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar and/or Board Certification in Intellectual Property
• Admission to the Patent Bar

Skills:

• Experience in patent prosecution
