Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its highly regarded Trademark & Copyright Practice Group. This full-time, in-office position offers a unique opportunity to handle sophisticated intellectual property matters, including domestic and international trademark prosecution, TTAB litigation, global brand enforcement, and strategic counseling for major brand-name clients. Candidates must possess at least five years of relevant IP experience, demonstrate strong legal skills, and bring a client-focused, detail-oriented approach.

Location:

• Walnut Creek, CA

Duties:

• Manage U.S. and international trademark prosecution and enforcement

• Handle TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings

• Develop global brand protection and anti-counterfeiting strategies

• Advise clients on IP portfolio development and licensing matters

• Draft and negotiate trademark and copyright agreements

• Conduct IP clearance, risk analysis, and due diligence

• Collaborate with litigation and corporate teams on IP issues

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in trademark and copyright law

• Direct experience with TTAB proceedings and international trademark portfolios

• Strong understanding of global IP enforcement and brand strategy

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated client matters

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Demonstrated academic excellence

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

• Must be admitted or eligible for admission in the office’s jurisdiction

Skills:

• Outstanding legal writing and analytical skills

• Strong organizational and project management abilities

• Ability to work effectively with international counsel and high-profile clients

• Detail-oriented with excellent time management

• Proficiency with trademark docketing systems and legal technology platforms preferred
