A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level associate with 2-6 years of experience to join their Fund Formation and Investment Management Practice Group in Boston, MA. The firm is open to considering candidates in Chicago or Dallas.

Duties

• Assist in fund and management structuring.
• Negotiate with institutional investors, including government pension plans and endowments.
• Handle secondary sales of LP fund stakes and GP-led fund restructurings.
• Draft legal documents and collaborate with partners and senior associates.

Requirements

• Experience in fund formation and investment management.
• Knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act and Securities Act related to private investment funds.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) where admitted.
