Duties

• Provide general and legal advice to diverse union clients.
• Handle all stages of litigation, including wage and hour class actions and employee benefits litigation.
• Represent unions at grievance arbitration hearings and before administrative agencies.
• Conduct union staff and steward trainings.
• Attend Trust Fund client meetings and handle ERISA-related litigation.
• Defend employee benefit plan and union clients in administrative hearings and court.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing in California.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Detail-oriented with exemplary research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Spanish language skills and/or real estate experience is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Occasional evening or weekend work required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California Bar License.
