Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Topeka, KS, seeks a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to provide strategic legal representation in matters such as divorce, child custody, spousal support, and other family-related cases. Duties:

• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, judgments, and orders.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategy and advocacy.
• Interview and prepare witnesses for court proceedings.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in preparing and filing legal documents.
• Handle all aspects of assigned cases from inception to resolution.
• Perform administrative duties related to case management, such as organizing case files and correspondence.

Requirements:

• Active Kansas law license.
• Prior experience in family law is preferred.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Kansas State Bar.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of family law statutes and court procedures.
• Ability to handle sensitive cases with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
