Legal Assistant - Insurance Defense

The candidate handle complex tasks critical to the success of our in-house law offices. An ideal candidate will have prior litigation experience and an understanding of legal terminology, which will be used to provide administrative support to our attorneys through preparation of legal documents and correspondences, such as motions and pleadings. Using an electronic case management system, manage attorney calendars, coordinate examinations for defense experts, and communicate with clients. Among other things. High school diploma or GED equivalent or higher. Two years of prior legal work experience in a business or legal environment supporting a professional team. Insurance defense or personal injury experience working in a law firm. Demonstrated experience with Texas venues and law is greatly desired. Time management and organizational skills required to provide support to a large group of professionals. Typing skills with special attention to grammar and accuracy. Ability to work independently while maintaining highly confidential information. Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
