A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its growing regional team in Winston-Salem, NC. Duties:

• Manage a high-volume caseload, delivering excellent legal representation.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and provide sound legal advice on regulatory and legal risks.
• Draft pleadings and other legal documents as needed.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings as required within North Carolina.
• Work closely with division Partners to report on activity and case progress.

Requirements:

• Active law license in North Carolina (required).
• 0-3 years of experience in bankruptcy, collections, or civil litigation preferred.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to additional states in the firm’s geographic footprint (e.g., GA, SC, TN, FL, VA, MD, MI, OH) or passage of the UBE is a plus.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the North Carolina Bar.
• Additional state admissions or successful completion of the UBE are desirable.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Skilled oral advocate for client representation in hearings and negotiations.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
