Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation to join their Cherry Hill, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have experience in Workers' Compensation law and be admitted to the New Jersey Bar, with additional admission to the Pennsylvania Bar considered advantageous.

Duties

• Assist in initial case evaluation and develop litigation strategies.
• Build relationships with clients, TPAs, insurers, and employers for prompt case resolution.
• Evaluate the merits of workers' compensation claims.
• Conduct legal research and draft correspondences, pleadings, and briefs.
• Draft and respond to written discovery requests.
• Review medical records.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings, including discovery and motions.
• Assist in preparing settlement agreements and motions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar; Pennsylvania Bar admission is helpful.
• 1-3 years' experience in NJ Workers' Compensation preferred.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
• Additional admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is helpful.
