A reputable law firm based in Houston, TX is seeking a highly motivated Senior Immigration Attorney to join its growing immigration practice. This role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload involving both detained and non-detained clients, family-based immigration, removal defense, and humanitarian petitions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about immigration law, client advocacy, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.

Provide legal counsel and strategy sessions for clients on immigration matters
Represent clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals
Conduct intake and visit clients at detention centers
Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications and petitions, including:
Removal defense
Family-based petitions
Humanitarian relief
Naturalization
USCIS and EOIR filings
Review and revise immigration packets for accuracy and legal sufficiency
Prepare legal briefs, motions, and supporting documentation
Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations to advocate on behalf of clients
Meet with potential clients for consultations and strategy development
Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony before USCIS and in immigration court
Manage a full caseload with the support of legal assistants and junior attorneys
Stay informed of changes in immigration law and policy
Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing immigration law
Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload
Strong understanding of removal defense, family-based immigration, and USCIS processes
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues in a team-based environment
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Strong client service orientation and interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity with immigration case management software (preferred)
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active bar membership in good standing (in any U.S. jurisdiction)
No specific certifications required; immigration law training or related continuing legal education is advantageous
In-depth knowledge of U.S. immigration law and procedure
Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and empathetic manner
Strategic thinker with attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and under deadlines
