Duties
- Handle litigation matters related to consumer financial services law.
- Represent clients in cases involving federal statutes such as:
- Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
- Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
- Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).
- Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and statutes.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop effective case strategies.
- Communicate with clients to provide updates and explain legal processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation related to consumer financial services law.
- Strong academic and professional credentials.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters effectively.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing with at least one of the following state bars:
- California
- Nevada
- New Mexico
- Oklahoma
- Admission to additional state bars is considered a plus.
