A boutique civil litigation law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of experience to join its team in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on insurance defense and personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex cases, handling discovery, conducting depositions, and participating in court proceedings. Location:

• Houston, TX

Duties:

• Draft, review, and analyze legal documents, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Conduct legal research and prepare supporting memoranda

• Take and defend depositions

• Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses

• Lead discovery efforts and consult with experts as needed

• Manage multiple complex cases independently and efficiently

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury defense or insurance defense

• Experience conducting depositions, managing discovery, and handling court appearances

• Strong legal research and writing abilities

• Ability to handle a high volume of litigation cases with attention to detail

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Texas

• In good standing with the Texas Bar

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

• Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw

• Experience with case management software (Clio preferred)

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
