Litigation Subrogation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in New York, NY, is seeking a Litigation Subrogation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience. The candidate will have the exciting opportunity to handle a variety of tasks, including intake, review, actively handling all aspects of discovery, mediation, trial, and management of upward of hundreds of claims annually. The vast majority of cases involve property damage losses, ranging from a few thousand dollars to millions.

Duties:

• Manage intake and review of subrogation claims.
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and attending hearings.
• Prepare for and participate in mediations, trials, and other court proceedings.
• Analyze recovery opportunities for plaintiff claims.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Manage a high volume of cases efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

• Valid New York Bar license.
• 2+ years of experience in drafting legal motions, preparing for court proceedings and depositions, analyzing recovery opportunities for plaintiff claims, and communicating effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
• Previous experience in insurance or subrogation law is highly desirable.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar.

• Strong litigation skills, with experience in drafting legal motions and preparing for court proceedings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
• Organizational skills to manage a high volume of cases.
