Senior Securities Associate Attorney

A highly regarded New York City-based law firm is seeking an accomplished Senior Securities Associate to join its well-established practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in securities law and regulatory compliance, offering the opportunity to work closely with high-profile clients and develop long-term professional relationships. While an existing book of business is not required, this position provides a future pathway to building and managing client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement & Advisory – Cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships, serving as a trusted legal consultant on complex securities matters.
• Regulatory & Compliance Counsel – Guide securities regulations, corporate governance, and financial compliance issues.
• Securities Transactions & Risk Mitigation – Structure and negotiate securities transactions while assessing potential regulatory risks and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
• Litigation Support – Work with the firm’s litigation team to provide strategic insights in securities disputes; experience in financial services litigation is a plus.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration – Partner with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions for institutional and corporate clients.
• In-Office Engagement – Participate in a collaborative and dynamic work environment, with an expectation to be on-site in the New York City office four days per week.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience practicing securities law, with a preference for candidates from top-tier law firms or in-house legal departments.
• Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, compliance protocols, and corporate financial structuring.
• Proven ability to develop and sustain client relationships through strategic communication and exceptional service.
• Experience handling complex securities transactions and regulatory compliance matters.
• Prior experience in financial services litigation is advantageous.
• Active New York State Bar membership is required.
