CPU Design Technology Specialist

Profile

A law firm is seeking a highly skilled CPU Design Technology Specialist to join their team in Washington, D.C. The specialist will be responsible for drafting patent applications, corresponding with patent offices, advising patent litigation teams, and interviewing inventors. The role requires a strong background in either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with specific expertise in CPU Design, including virtual memory management.

Duties:

• Draft patent applications for innovative clients, providing detailed descriptions and figures.
• Correspond with patent office representatives regarding pending patent applications.
• Advise patent litigation teams based on technical and scientific expertise in CPU Design.
• Conduct interviews with inventors to gather information about new ideas.

Requirements:

• A strong background in either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in CPU Design, including virtual memory management.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of patent prosecution experience.
• Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office is preferred.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Skills:

• Proficiency in drafting patent applications.
• Strong knowledge of CPU Design, with expertise in virtual memory management.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills for collaborating with patent litigation teams.
• Superior writing skills for crafting comprehensive and accurate patent applications.
