Duties:

• Manage multiple case files in civil litigation, including construction defect defense and insurance coverage disputes
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda
• Respond to written discovery and dispositive motions
• Conduct legal research and analysis with a high degree of proficiency
• Prepare and take depositions of parties and expert witnesses
• Review client documents, draft case evaluations, and provide status reports
• Assist with mediation and make court appearances as needed

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Arizona (state and federal courts)
• 3-4 years of experience in civil litigation defense
• Additional state bar admissions, including California, are a plus
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy legal environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in insurance coverage and workers' compensation is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Arizona
• Admission to additional state bars (California preferred) is a plus

Skills:

• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing abilities
• Proficiency in managing a substantial caseload and moving between cases efficiently
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal court procedures
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize
