Duties:

• Handle an independent docket of criminal cases from intake to resolution

• Represent clients during arraignments, pre-trial conferences, motion hearings, and jury or bench trials

• Engage in strategic negotiations with prosecuting authorities

• Draft and argue legal motions and conduct legal research

• Maintain consistent communication with clients to ensure transparency and informed decision-making

• Contribute to a team-oriented legal practice that values shared success

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in California

• 1-5 years of experience in criminal defense or related courtroom practice

• Demonstrated comfort with public speaking and courtroom litigation

• Competency in drafting motions and legal memoranda

• Ability to independently manage a full caseload in a fast-paced environment

• Spanish-English bilingual skills are highly preferred

• Prior trial experience is advantageous but not mandatory

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
