A law firm seeks a Senior Counsel for Patent Litigation in Los Angeles, CA. This remote position is ideal for California-barred applicants and offers the opportunity to manage a diverse docket across state and federal courts while working with an experienced team.

Duties

• Lead and manage all stages of complex patent litigation, including discovery, claim construction, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on patent enforcement, defense, and licensing matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and litigation support teams.
• Develop litigation strategies aligned with client goals and business priorities.
• Expand and service existing client base through business development and client relationship management.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a state bar (California preferred).
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in patent litigation.
• Portable book of business of $250,000+ required.
• Strong understanding of patent law, IP litigation, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Technical background in engineering or sciences preferred (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields).

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with a state bar (California preferred).
