A law firm is seeking a Court Appearance Attorney to represent clients in debt-related cases. This part-time or full-time position offers flexible scheduling and competitive compensation. The attorney will attend court hearings in various counties, representing clients in debt-related matters without being the attorney of record. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Texas and have strong communication skills. Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.

Location:

• Galveston, TX

Duties:

• Attend court hearings related to debt-related cases as scheduled.
• Represent clients during hearings, ensuring effective legal proceedings.
• No communication required with clients, opposing counsel, or the court except during the hearing.
• Log into an online portal to view upcoming hearings, submit results, and track fees.
• Submit hearing results and fees via mobile after attending the hearing.
• Ensure all hearing responsibilities are handled efficiently, with no follow-up work required after court appearances.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
• Ability to attend scheduled court hearings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively during court proceedings.
• Spanish fluency is preferred, but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Texas State Bar membership required.

Skills:
