A law firm seeks an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience handling complex insurance coverage disputes, with strong legal research and writing skills. This role involves working on sophisticated matters and maintaining client relationships in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Represent policyholder clients in all phases of insurance coverage disputes.
• Advise clients on available insurance coverage and address coverage denials or limitations.
• Draft coverage correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Appear at depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and in court.
• Support clients in recovering insurance proceeds owed to them.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.
• 4-6 years of insurance coverage experience at a reputable law firm or in-house position.
• Preferred experience with CGL, D&O, E&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Professional Liability, Property, and/or Cyber Insurance Policies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, writing, and problem-solving abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Illinois Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.
