A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team in Louisville, KY. The Associate Attorney will work collaboratively in a team setting with partners and associates, defending clients in civil cases, including personal injury, professional liability, construction claims, and cases involving contractual and extra-contractual claims against insurance companies.

Duties:

• Work collaboratively with partners and associates in defending clients in civil cases.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and colleagues.
• Manage caseload effectively and efficiently.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Kentucky.
• Dual licensure in Kentucky and Indiana is a plus.
• 1-4 years of litigation experience in civil defense is preferred.
• Strong desire to be an advocate for clients.
• Ability to make clear and concise oral and written arguments.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Kentucky State Bar.
