Duties

• Manage an active docket of employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct and defend depositions, including witness preparation and examination.
• Appear in court, administrative hearings, and mediation proceedings.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and case strategy summaries.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance client matters.
• Communicate directly with clients to provide case updates and gather information.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely compliance with court and agency schedules.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
• 1-2 years of experience in employment litigation (plaintiff, defense, or government).
• Demonstrated experience with court appearances and/or depositions.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative and professional approach.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms (Westlaw, Lexis) and case management software.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
