The School of Society and Culture is looking for an exceptional individual to deliver teaching and research in Law. The role involves designing and delivering exciting courses in our world-class LLB Law programmes and postgraduate taught and research programmes. You will additionally participate in student assessment. Based within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business, theSchool of Society and Culture is a place of progression in a progressive world. The School brings together subjects and research that are among the most relevant in today’s society; subjects that play a crucial role in addressing some of the world’s most pressing social issues and that require skilled, creative and forward-thinking individuals capable of shaping the future.The School has created a learning environment that brings together social and political sciences, law, performing arts and humanities to empower students to personalise their journey, expand their thinking, realise their ambitions and pursue their passions.The School is home to researchers who demonstrate the crucial role the social sciences, law, humanities and performing arts play in all aspects of our lives and their importance in shaping the future. You will have, or be close to achieving, a PhD in Law or related subject, with proven experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We welcome applications from exceptional scholars whose research and teaching interests complement and expand the School of Society and Culture’s, notably in the area of technology law, for example cybercrime and data protection. Knowledge of research methods and theory would be beneficial. You will therefore also be skilled in conducting legal or socio-legal research.
