Duties:

• Conduct thorough legal research about bankruptcy, creditor remedies, and commercial/business litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and accuracy.
• Advocate for clients in motion hearings and trial proceedings, demonstrating excellent verbal and written advocacy skills.
• Represent financial institutions in disputes related to bankruptcy and creditor rights remedies, focusing on recovering funds and assets.
• Engage in mediation and negotiation processes to facilitate workouts and settlements for cases.
• Handle complex discovery processes, including written discovery and depositions.
• Maintain proficiency with the bankruptcy code and rules, ensuring compliance and strategic application in cases.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in bankruptcy, creditor remedies, and commercial litigation.
• Extensive experience dealing with complex business litigation, particularly in bankruptcy, creditor remedies, and business matters in federal and state court actions.
• Proven track record of representing financial institutions in bankruptcy and creditor rights remedies disputes.
• Demonstrated experience and advocacy in bankruptcy courts, with a deep understanding of bankruptcy law.
• Proficiency in preparing and conducting discovery processes, including written discovery and depositions.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills, with the ability to draft precise legal documents and analyze complex legal issues effectively.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Minnesota State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• Certification or specialization in bankruptcy law or a related field is preferred.
