A law firm in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor, Employment, and Higher Education Attorney to provide legal support and advice to our business clients on employment, labor relations, and higher education matters. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in employment law, with a strong emphasis on advising and litigation. Experience in the higher education sector is preferred but not mandatory.

Duties:

  • Conduct in-depth legal research on employment, labor, and higher education issues.
  • Prepare legal briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Draft, review, and update employment policies and contracts.
  • Investigate misconduct complaints and provide strategic guidance to clients.
  • Prepare responses to charges related to employment disputes.
  • Offer comprehensive legal advice and counsel to clients on labor, employment, and higher education matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in employment law, including advising and litigation roles.
  • Proficiency in research, legal brief writing, and drafting legal documents.
  • Prior experience in the higher education sector is preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials, including a J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in Minnesota.
  • Exceptional analytical and writing abilities.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Education:
