Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate for its San Antonio office. This position is ideal for candidates with 3–6 years of experience in commercial litigation who are seeking a dynamic practice environment with direct access to clients and partners. The role involves hands-on responsibility across all phases of litigation, including motion practice, depositions, and case strategy.

Location:

• San Antonio, TX

Duties:

• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and procedural motions

• Prepare and respond to pleadings and discovery requests

• Take and defend depositions

• Develop litigation strategy in coordination with senior attorneys and clients

• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda

• Support trial preparation and participation in hearings

• Work closely with partners and clients across a variety of industries

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of experience in commercial litigation

• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a litigation team

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

• Admission to the Texas Bar is required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of Texas

Skills:

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

• Proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities

• Capable of handling depositions and courtroom argument
