The candidate will work hand-in-hand with inventors on newly created products. Will assist in the identification of patentable inventions. Research current patented technologies to best assist clients in patentable work. Draft patent applications with the assistance of the patent team. Track the patent application process from initial application to granted patent to ensure the team remains on track. Complete ability searches regularly. Solve client challenges and respond to client needs. Respond to office actions and correspond with the USPTO. Consistently meet billable hour requirements. Assist patent attorneys with the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. Bachelor's degree in science or engineering is required. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred. Should have a background in electrical engineering or biotechnology and prior experience working in the area of patent law. USPTO registration is required. Must have 3+ years of professional experience.
