Location:

• The Woodlands, TX

Duties:

• Stay updated on changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws relevant to business litigation
• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior associates to resolve or prevent conflicts
• Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
• Represent clients in court by arguing motions and managing trials
• Provide strategic advice to clients on litigation matters, including trials, mediation, and arbitration

Requirements:

• 7–10 years of experience as a litigation attorney specializing in business, construction, or real estate litigation
• At least 10 jury trials as first chair or lead attorney
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload with minimal supervision
• Proven trial experience, including mediation and arbitration
• Excellent persuasive writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to mentor and manage junior associates

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree with a law degree (J.D., LLM, or JSD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

Skills:
