Junior Disability Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Junior Disability Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will represent clients in hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges, while also providing comprehensive legal support including client communication, case development, legal research, and writing. This role requires strong communication skills, legal writing proficiency, reliability, and the ability to travel to hearings in other cities and states as needed.

Duties:

• Represent clients in hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges.
• Answer client questions and guide disability claims.
• Review and develop pre-hearing and hearing-level cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft pre-hearing brief memorandums.
• Draft appeals council briefs.
• Maintain regular client contact via telephone, in-person meetings, mail, and email.

Requirements:

• Attorney License.
• Reliability and Dependability.
• Eagerness to Learn and Make a Difference.
• Strong Communication Skills, Both Oral and Written.
• Excellent Legal Writing Skills.
• Ability to Travel to and from Hearings in Other Cities and States Up to 70% of the Time.
• Knowledge of Social Security Disability Law is Preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
