Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel Asset Management and Investment Funds Associate to join their Boston office. The ideal candidate will have two to six years of experience with open-end funds, closed-end funds, and/or exchange-traded funds, and experience representing investment companies, investment advisers, and board members on matters under U.S. federal securities law.

Duties

• Advise on matters related to the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Represent clients in compliance with the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced lawyers on various legal matters.
• Engage with a diverse range of global clients in the asset management sector.

Requirements

• Two to six years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience with mutual funds, closed-end funds, and ETFs.
• Familiarity with U.S. federal securities laws and regulations.
• Experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house at an asset manager preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in Massachusetts or eligibility to waive in.
