Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Labor and Employment Associate to join its Minneapolis, MN office. The successful candidate will collaborate with partners on a variety of employment litigation matters, including wage and hour collective actions, class actions, and single plaintiff cases, as well as complex advisory matters. Duties

• Manage single-plaintiff cases and contribute significantly to complex litigation management.
• Collaborate with partners on case strategy and tactics.
• Engage in substantial brief writing.
• Interview witnesses and prepare fact presentations for litigated matters.
• Draft discovery requests and responses.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Conduct legal research and draft research memoranda.
• Provide complex employment law advice and counsel.
• Participate in substantial trial work as required.

Requirements

• Four to six years of employment litigation and counseling experience in a law firm setting.
• Minnesota bar admission or eligibility for admission.
• Team-based approach to the practice of law.
• Commitment to diversity and personal practice development.
• Excellent analytical and writing skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.

Education

• JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

• Minnesota bar admission or ability to become admitted.
