A respected law firm located in San Antonio, TX is actively seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Associate Attorney to support its immigration intake operations. This role is ideal for a licensed attorney with a foundation in immigration law who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and seeks a growth-oriented legal career. The position involves initial case assessments, strategy formulation, and communication with both clients and internal teams to facilitate high-quality service delivery during the intake process.
Monitor incoming client information through internal case-tracking systems
Review intake forms and documents to assess case eligibility
Evaluate potential immigration relief options based on preliminary information
Formulate and suggest strategic legal pathways and proposed services
Engage with current clients to explore legal services beyond their existing agreements
Respond to legal inquiries and offer clear explanations of immigration processes
Collaborate closely with client engagement teams to ensure alignment on legal matters
Supervise the work of intake paralegals and remote support personnel
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience handling immigration matters
Strong teamwork orientation with a willingness to collaborate with peers across practice areas
Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
Proven ability to manage and progress multiple client matters simultaneously
Familiarity with core immigration case types including:
Family-based petitions
Humanitarian applications
Removal of defense and detained cases
Naturalization and other USCIS filings
Experience using legal practice management tools (preferred)
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred)
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Active and valid license to practice law in the United States
Client consultation and intake evaluation
Legal research and issue spotting
Strategic legal planning
Staff supervision and coordination
Multilingual communication (Spanish preferred)
