A highly respected law firm is seeking a seasoned Insurance Coverage and Insurance Litigation Of Counsel Attorney to join its Los Angeles office or work remotely. Location

• Los Angeles, California

Duties

• Draft pleadings, legal briefs, motions, and memoranda

• Attend and lead court hearings, depositions, and mediations

• Provide legal opinions and strategic advice on insurance coverage issues across multiple lines (e.g., CGL, property, professional liability, cyber, IP)

• Conduct detailed policy analysis and draft coverage opinion letters

• Manage all aspects of coverage litigation, including discovery and dispositive motions

• Cross-examine witnesses and prepare cases for trial when needed

• Advise clients on complex insurance coverage and litigation strategy

• Communicate case updates and analysis to clients clearly and consistently

• Collaborate with attorneys across different offices and departments

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or coverage litigation

• Experience handling both third-party and first-party claims

• Prior experience analyzing policies and drafting well-supported coverage opinions

• Significant involvement in pretrial motions and court appearances

• Ability to independently manage complex coverage litigation matters

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of California

• Admission to federal courts (preferred)

Skills

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Skilled in coverage analysis involving various insurance products

• Confident in case management and trial preparation

• Proven ability to handle high-stakes cases with minimal oversight
