A law firm seeks a dynamic Labor and Employment Associate to join its Detroit office. The ideal candidate will be a 3rd-4th year associate with experience in wage and hour class action litigation, union negotiations, and OSHA matters.

Duties

• Handle wage and hour class action litigation.
• Engage in union negotiations and provide advice and counseling.
• Manage OSHA matters and EEOC charges.
• Conduct single plaintiff employment litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Participate in trial preparation and settlement conferences.

Requirements

• 3rd-4th year associate experience.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Experience with discovery and motion practice.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, collegial environment.
• Demonstrated client relationship and business development skills.

Education

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Michigan Bar in good standing.
