Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Prosecution and Litigation Patent Agent in multiple office locations. The candidate will primarily prepare and prosecute patent applications filed with the USPTO and foreign patent offices. Additional responsibilities include providing technological guidance to attorneys, assisting clients in documenting inventions, and counseling on comprehensive IP strategy.

Duties

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications with the USPTO and foreign offices.
• Provide technological guidance to attorneys.
• Assist clients in documenting inventions.
• Counsel clients on comprehensive IP strategy.
• Conduct prior art analysis and manage IP portfolios.

Requirements

• 3+ years of patent prosecution experience, including application drafting.
• Registration to practice before the USPTO is required.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and team-oriented.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task independently under deadlines.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high integrity.

Education

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, and/or Telecommunications.

Certifications

• Registration to practice before the USPTO.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency with specialized software and online programs as required.
