Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join its expanding litigation team in Chandler, Arizona. This role offers an opportunity to handle a diverse range of litigation matters, including wrongful death, contract/business disputes, premises liability, and personal injury claims. The position provides the chance to work on cases from inception to resolution while gaining hands-on experience in all stages of litigation. The ideal candidate will work closely with experienced attorneys and have an opportunity to grow professionally in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Location:

• Chandler, Arizona

Duties:

• Handle litigation matters involving wrongful death, contract/business disputes, premises liability, personal injury claims, and more.

• Manage cases from inception to resolution, including strategy development, legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and managing discovery.

• Represent clients in court, argue motions, and attend hearings.

• Take and defend depositions, and participate in mediations.

• Interact directly with clients and opposing counsel.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members, while also managing a caseload independently.

Requirements:

• 1 to 7 years of experience in civil litigation within a law firm environment.

• Newly licensed attorneys in Arizona are encouraged to apply.

• Proficient in legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, and communicating effectively with clients and opposing counsel.

• Experience in taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and attending mediations is preferred.

• Trial experience is a plus.

• Strong communication and advocacy skills, with a client-focused mindset and a commitment to achieving successful outcomes.

• Ability to work independently, while also collaborating effectively within a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar license in the jurisdiction where practicing, or already admitted on motion to that jurisdiction through reciprocity.

Skills:

• Legal research and writing expertise.

• Strong drafting skills for pleadings, motions, and discovery.
