The firm specializes in Immigration, Family Law (Special Immigrant Juvenile), and appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals and U.S. Circuit Courts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for immigration law and family law and must be fluent in Spanish. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
• Draft and review legal documents and correspondence with precision.
• Provide legal guidance and representation for immigration and family law cases.
• Work closely with senior attorneys on estate planning and family law matters.
• Organize case files and ensure adherence to legal protocols.
• Communicate clearly with clients, ensuring their legal needs are met (Spanish-speaking clients are a priority).
• Travel to various court locations (including Rockland County to Riverhead, Long Island) as required.
• Interview clients on weekends when necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in immigration or family law (entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply).
• Fluent in Spanish (both written and spoken).
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a car for travel to court locations.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Completed at least one immigration law course during law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York State.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Excellent legal writing and drafting abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build client relationships.
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
