Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid-level associate attorney to join its nationally recognized Corporate & Securities practice group, with a focus on the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will advise a diverse portfolio of healthcare clients—including hospitals, provider systems, health plans, digital health companies, and private equity investors—on strategic corporate transactions. These include mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital deals, and joint ventures. The role offers a collaborative team environment, direct client exposure, and a robust professional development platform.
Location:
Duties:
Advise healthcare clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity/venture capital investments
Draft, review, and negotiate complex corporate and transactional documents
Support clients with entity formation, corporate governance, and operational matters
Conduct due diligence and coordinate with regulatory, tax, and litigation teams
Manage day-to-day deal execution and assist in closing transactions
Participate in business development efforts and client strategy planning
Contribute to internal training and mentorship opportunities within the practice group
Requirements:
3–5 years of relevant legal experience in M&A, private equity, and/or joint ventures
Exposure to or prior experience working with healthcare-sector clients strongly preferred
Proven ability to handle complex matters and lead deal components independently
Comfort with direct client communication and third-party advisor coordination
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Excellent academic credentials required
Certifications:
Active bar membership in the state where the applicant intends to practice
Member in good standing with the relevant state bar
Skills:
Exceptional writing, drafting, and negotiation skills
Strong legal research and analytical thinking abilities
Ability to manage multiple matters under deadline pressure
Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal communication
Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks in healthcare transactions (preferred)
