A law firm seeks an Associate to join the Public Finance practice in Minneapolis. This role is ideal for an attorney with two or more years of experience interested in enhancing their skills in public finance transactions while collaborating with experienced partners.

Duties

• Draft loan, economic development, bond, and public approval documents.
• Coordinate and conduct transaction closings.
• Review, draft, and manage transaction due diligence.
• Negotiate transaction documents.
• Ensure appropriate approvals are in place before executing transactions.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in relevant areas.
• Commit to achieving client goals.

Requirements

• Knowledge of state and federal laws governing transactions.
• Proficiency in asset-based and real estate finance transactions.
• Strong organizational and matter management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and critical thinking ability.
• Collaborative and professional work ethic.
• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and develop skills.

Education

• Admitted to practice in Minnesota with an active bar license or able to be admitted within the first year.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with state or local government finance departments, investment banks, or institutional lenders.

Certifications

• Active bar license in good standing.
