A respected law firm based in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Junior Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its growing Structured Transactions practice. This opportunity involves sophisticated work with derivatives and complex financial instruments, and would suit an attorney looking to deepen their knowledge in regulatory frameworks, documentation negotiation, and structured products. Duties:

• Draft and negotiate legal documentation related to structured finance and derivatives, including master agreements, annexes, schedules, and confirmations.

• Interpret and apply relevant regulatory protocols such as ISDA, Dodd-Frank, and similar frameworks.

• Collaborate with clients and internal legal teams to develop transactional strategies and solutions.

• Advise on cross-border financial instruments and risk allocation structures.

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support transactions and client advisories.

• Maintain awareness of changes in laws and regulations affecting structured finance transactions.

• Manage deal flow and deadlines across multiple active transactions.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in structured finance and/or derivative transactions.

• Background in preparing and negotiating documentation under ISDA Master Agreements.

• Familiarity with over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives and regulatory protocols.

• Prior work within a large or nationally recognized law firm is preferred.

• Bar admission and license to practice in Minnesota.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active member of the Minnesota State Bar (required).
