A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of expertise in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in various insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors & officers' insurance policies. Experience in handling complex litigation matters, including discovery, depositions, and court appearances, is a must. The firm specializes in representing insurers in high-stakes and challenging matters related to coverage and reinsurance.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Handle all aspects of discovery and discovery motion practice.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in court appearances.
• Manage cases independently with minimal supervision.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on complex insurance and reinsurance issues.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of relevant experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Strong background in professional liability, general liability, and D&O insurance policies.
• Solid understanding of civil litigation processes, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motions.
• Experience managing cases independently.
• Exposure to business development and client interaction is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in New York State.
