A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 5+ years of relevant experience in defense litigation. The ideal candidate must be admitted to the Texas State Bar and have experience in transportation, catastrophic injury, commercial disputes, construction, medical malpractice, and/or healthcare matters.

Duties:

• Collaborate closely with lead attorneys on all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, and trial presentation
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client objectives
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity
• Assist in client communication and case management activities
• Participate in strategy sessions and contribute strategic insights to meet client goals
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service throughout all interactions
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to provide informed counsel

Requirements:

• Admission to the Texas State Bar
• 5+ years of experience in defense litigation
• Experience in transportation, catastrophic injury, commercial disputes, construction, medical malpractice, and/or healthcare matters
• Exceptional research and writing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
