Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Associate for their Corporate Asset Management practice in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in asset management M&A, including GP stakes and control asset management transactions.

Duties

• Advise on a broad range of transactional matters, including M&A and investment fund transactions.
• Execute full buy-out/control transactions and minority GP stakes transactions.
• Engage in joint venture transactions and management team spin-outs.
• Assist with corporate restructurings, separations, and succession planning.
• Provide additional liquidity solutions, including continuation fund transactions and preferred equity solutions.
• Handle investment regulatory, enforcement, and compliance matters.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in asset management M&A.
• Experience with GP stakes and control asset management transactions.
• Ability to counsel a diverse array of clients, including asset managers and private equity firms.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.
